AI is a powerful technology that affects how we create, communicate, and understand the world around us. At Jasper, we make ethical development of this technology a core principle and are intentional about taking an ethics-focused approach to privacy, terms of use, and customer education. You’ll find our approach below. To aid our customers in developing their own responsible AI policies, you’ll also find a template for use within your own company or organization.
Jasper was built to be enterprise-ready and maintain the highest levels of security. In addition to adhering to the highest standards of security in developing our copilot, our AI systems are tested regularly by a dedicated security team.
The language models (LLMs) that underlie Jasper are trained on human content and can absorb biases and misrepresentations found within it. We take proactive steps to address that bias but advise reviewing and editing content with that in mind.
We have strong data encryption and storage policies in place. Our security program is aligned with AICPA Trust Services Principles and is constantly evolving in accordance with industry best practices to prevent unauthorized access, use, and disclosure of customer data.
At Jasper, we believe that accessibility is not a box to be checked, but a pathway to inclusivity, diversity, and true human connection. Across our product and brand design we strive for complete ADA and WCAG 2.1 compliance. We hold this as a standard for all new content and are working on auditing past content. If you encounter an accessibility issue please report it to marketing@jasper.ai.
Because of the processing power needed to train large language models, AI has a significant carbon footprint. Jasper addresses this primarily in the partners we choose. The LLMs that Jasper partners are all working toward emitting less carbon through more efficient model structures and have committed to climate change mitigation.
We are our own customers and have high standards for responsible use of AI within Jasper.
We use AI to assist in some content development at our company. To ensure transparency, accountability, quality and privacy, we adhere to internal AI usage standards. These standards help us safeguard against biases, maintain data security, and uphold our commitment to ethical marketing practices. One of these standards is that AI should be used to assist in content creation, not fully automate it. We ensure that every piece of content we develop is shaped and reviewed by people who have an understanding of our audience and AI’s limitations.
